You’re not going to believe this, but Snoop Dogg is going to pick the Lakers to win the NBA championship this year. I know — total shocker.
I guess the only surprise is that it would come in rap form, since he’s just about as famous now for being famous as he is for rapping. Nonetheless, on the “Lakers remix” to Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” Snoop D-O-Double-G actually hops on the mic to big up Los Angeles’ finest. Who does he think he is, Lil Wayne?
Identity crisis aside, the track is below. It’s called “Purp and Yellow” and, along with Snoop, it’s features The Game, YG and several profanities and references to using drugs. Standard rap fare, really, except for the part where it’s all about a professional basketball team. Check it out and if you’re feeling particularly crazy, record your own freestyle for your favorite team. I’m sure we could work those into The Overdose somehow.
