“The Expendables”, earned $35 million this weekend, giving Stallone a boost following other popular films in the past few years such as sequels to his “Rocky” and “Rambo” franchises.

The film features other action stars like Jet Li and Jason Statham, and features cameos from Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as UFC star Randy Couture, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Mickey Rourke.

“By combining all that star power, they really had a strong debut,” Paul Dergarabedian, box-office analyst for Hollywood.com, told the Associated Press. “Maybe star power doesn’t work with just one star, but when you throw in a dozen, it really looked fun. In the action world, these guys are big names.”

In at #2 was Julia Roberts’s “Eat Pray Love,” which opened with $23.7 million. Adapted from Elizabeth Gilbert’s best-selling memoir, the film stars Roberts as a woman traveling the world in search of enlightenment after her divorce.

The previous weekend’s top movie, “The Other Guys,” slipped to third place this weekend with $18 million, raising its 10-day total to $70.5 million; while “Inception” came in at #4 with $11.4 million, lifting its total to $248.6 million.

The weekend’s other wide release, Universal’s graphic-novel adaptation “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” landed at #5 with $10.5 million. It stars Michael Cera as a slacker caught up in duels to the death with his new girlfriend’s seven evil ex-boyfriends.

That wraps things up this weekend. Next weekend, look out for the release of Ice Cube’s “Lottery Ticket,” the family film “Nanny McPhee Returns,” the horror-thriller “Piranha 3D”, the Jennifer Anniston comedy “The Switch,” and the parody “Vampires Suck.”

The young American rapper had quite a promising future ahead of him until he was convicted of assaulting his girlfriend Rihanna in early 2009.

At 16 he released his first album to rave reviews. With musical gifts and MJ-esque dance moves, he was destined to be a star.

But his post-Rihanna-beating album, “Graffitti,” bombed, demonstrating that fans were taken aback by his assault charges and didn’t want to support him anymore.

Go figure.

Then, in early 2010, as he tried to get his life back in order, the 21-year-old was denied a work Visa to the UK to perform there due to his “serious criminal offense.”

He has a movie coming out later this year. We’ll see how that does.

Laurence Fishburne’s daughter Montana a budding adult movie starlet?

That’s what gossip sites are alleging as “The Matrix” actor’s 19-year-old daughter reportedly filmed a part in an explicit Triple-X release for Vivid Entertainment in a bid to break into Hollywood.

According to TMZ, Montana Fishburne was reportedly inspired by celebrity sex tape star-turned-reality TV star Kim Kardashian. “I’ve watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sextape. ”

Maybe wht she doesnt get is that Kim was not trying to be a porn star, maybe she did leak the tape. Montana you should have just taped yourself with a C lister and went about it that way.

So your pops does not have enough star power to get you into some real movies. Daddy must be so proud.

DJ AM’s former neighbor is suing the deceased star’s estate — claiming AM owned a piece of property that smelled so bad, it literally made one man sick to his stomach.

In a lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, a man named Isaac Toveg claims while he lived near AM — aka Adam Goldstein — he often noticed a “gaseous foul odor and/or smell” emitting from AM’s property.

Toveg claims when he would go outside, he would “experience problems in breathing and stomach ailments and would become severely ill” and was eventually diagnosed with Helicobacter pylori.

According to the suit, Toveg claims he told AM about the problem, but was ignored. Toveg claims after AM died — it was discovered that there was a “broken” sewer pipe on the property. Toveg claims he is now “able to relate his illness to the broken sewer pipe.”

Toveg is suing for more than $25k in damages.

TMZ spoke to Jenni Weinman — a rep for AM’s estate — who tells us, “It’s ironic that this suit was filed so close to the year anniversary of Adam’s passing.”

She continues, “I am sure that any issues regarding the drainage system or sewer pipes in the neighborhood are more of a city maintenance issue as opposed to a DJ AM estate issue.”

Angelina Jolie’s spy caper “Salt” clung to No. 3 in its second weekend, and the animated film “Despicable Me,” which also features Carell, maintained the No. 4 post in its fourth weekend.

The Woman accuseed of slashing Leonardo DiCaprio’s face at a Hollywood Hills Party back in 2005 has been tracked down.

Sources told TMZ that 40-year-old Aretha Wilson took a flight from Canada to Los Angeles last night accompanied by law enforcement officials. We’re told she’s currently in custody awaiting trial.

As we previously reported, Wilson is accused of hitting DiCaprio in the face during a house party in the Hollywood Hills in 2005. The party was at the home of Rick Salomon — Paris Hilton’s sex tape partner.

Authorities claim Leo needed 17 stitches to close up his face and ear.

Wilson — who had been arrested in L.A. and charged with assault with a deadly weapon — fled the country after the alleged attack.

50 Cent is looking like himself again. He shocked fans in May when he tweeted photos of himself looking emaciated, having lost 54 pounds in nine weeks for a role as a cancer patient in ‘Things Fall Apart.’

The rapper lost the weight with a liquid diet and daily 3-hour workouts, and his first meal after he finished shooting was a steak.

“I remember specifically what the first thing was, because I was starving,” he said on ‘The View’ Tuesday. “I had a steak. It was 12 ounces, but I got about four ounces in before I started getting sleepy.”

There’s a reason it took Ryan Seacrest such a long time to score a date with his new girlfriend Julianne Hough — she thought she lacked the proper equipment … genitally speaking.

Our spies in North Carolina tell us Hough was in town for her birthday dinner at a Morton’s steak house the other night with a bunch of friends … and at one point during the meal, she was asked, “How did you and Ryan get together?”

Julianne responded, “He was after me since I was 18 … he totally wasn’t my type … I thought he was gay.”

But Hough continued, “After a few years, he was persistent … so I went out with him on a date and I realized how much I liked him.”

We’re told Ryan and Julianne have been together for a couple of months.

Dammm Smokey pay your taxes!!!

Chris Tucker’s ongoing tax problems have reached Nicolas Cage proportions — according to new docs, the “Rush Hour” star now owes the IRS more than $11 million in back taxes.

The Internal Revenue Service filed documents with the L.A. County Recorder’s Office yesterday, which show Tucker owes $11,571,909.26 in federal taxes for the years 2001, 2002 and 2004 through 2006.

Here’s how it all breaks down:

2001 — $4,007,794.34
2002 — $5,060,074.23
2004 — $55,544.84
2005 — $660,414.94
2006 — $1,788,080.91

But this isn’t Tucker’s first issue with taxes — as we previously reported, the State of California filed a lien against Tucker for allegedly not paying $3,594,409 in state taxes over the same time span.

FYI — Back in 2001, Tucker reportedly took in a $20 million payday for “Rush Hour 2″ and scored $25 million for “Rush Hour 3″ … which hit theaters in 2007.

Tucker hasnt released a film since 2007 when he did Rush hour 3.
